Bartow New Member Orientation Information

There are 2 training requirements for new REALTOR® members of the Bartow Area Board of REALTORS®.
Both training courses must be completed within six months upon completion of the application.

All new members must attend a one hour in-class Local Bartow Area Board Training course given by The Bartow Area Board of REALTORS®. This must be done within 6 months of submitting your application to the Board in order to start counting your Professional Achiever's Circle sales credit from the date your application was received in the Board office.

Additionally, all new members must also complete a qualified New Member Code of Ethics Orientation course.  You may:

  1. Attend a three hour in-class Orientation session, which is offered monthly at the Bartow Area Board of REALTORS®' offices.  This course will provide you with 3 hours of Continuing Education credit;
  2. OR, you may take the National Association of REALTORS®' New Member Code of Ethics Orientation online at www.realtor.org ("Take the Code of Ethics" training link and then "New Member Code of Ethics Orientation" link).

If you are currently a member of another REALTOR® Association or have held membership in the past with the Bartow Area Board of REALTORS® and you have already attended a new member orientation course, then you do not need to attend the New Member Code of Ethics Orientation course again nor the Local Bartow Area Board Training.  You must submit proof of your New Member Orientation completion from your previous or current REALTOR association in order to bypass attendance at either of these training sessions.  They may email proof to Mendalyn Harper, Mendalyn@bartowrealtors.com, or via fax, 404-732-0638.
